ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Xavier International Public School is a pioneer co–educational English medium School located in the heart of the city of Kharida, Kharagpur (West Bengal). This School was recognised as Ward Memorial Church School established in 1995 as the first church school in Kharida, Kharagpur, West Bengal. In 2019 NOC was given by the railway authorities, the school was established in the new name of Xavier International Public School.
Xavier International Public School provides a highly evolved, value–based education that moulds the children into strategic thinkers and leaders. Within a span of 5 years, Xavier International Public School has evolved rapidly to become one of the most reputed schools in Kharagpur.
OUR MISSION
An atmosphere of mutual appreciation and cooperation prevails in the Xavier family of parents, pupils, educators and the alumni. Most parents realize the importance of their role as coeducators and cooperate with the school in the effort to bring out the best in each student. The school helps their monitoring errorts by providing them with periodic progress cards, circulars and deficiency reports, and also by promoting collective interaction in PTA meetings. Xavier International Public School aims at nurturing holistic development of its students towards enriching the quality of life in every aspect of well- being. In today’s competitive world, it is highly important to exhibit how students are being groomed and trained in a school to be global citizens one day. The school going children of today are undergoing tremendous amount of educational stress, compared to the children 25 years ago. The “Syllabus” has become vaster, examinations have become more mark–oriented and the school bags have become heavier. To us educationists, this has become a “Hobson’s Choice“-between the devil and the deep blue sea. In such situations the children are resorting to take extreme steps. We urgently need to REVAMP the education system.The stress should be on character building along with intellectual growth. Our system is lopsided and tilting towards “fixed” professions like Engineering, Medical and MBA.We need to change the mindset of the Parents as well as educators who consider marks as the only basis to judge the future course of a child.
At Xavier International Public School, we have begun introducing several reforms to make learning, STUDENT FRIENDLY. Dr. Madhumita Das comes with a rich experience of 15 years in the field of education. With English and Education as her core subjects, her career spans over a considerable period in various capacities with many milestones to her credit. After completing her B.A (English) from Shailabala Women’s College, Cuttack (Utkal University) in 2002, she completed her Post Graduate in English from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack in 2004. Later, she completed her M.Phil from Berhampur University. She reached her career epitome by completing her doctorate from Ravenshaw University. Growing up with all these virtues, it’s not a surprise that she chose teaching as her profession to reach out to the society and contribute towards education which is meaningful. As an educationist, she believes in empowering the facilitators and creating a lineage which would benefit the future of our country. A visionary by nature, she is in the process of mentoring and guiding not only in the school that she heads, but also in the places she goes as a pedagogue
About the Principal
D.Hemlatha enhanced with an excellence knowledge of 11 years in the field of education. Accounts (Honours) and English as her core subjects, her career has achieved various fruitful changes over an ample of years to prove her capacity. As she completed her 10th from Church School Beldhi (ICSE) in 2004.(Jamshedpur), 12th in 2006. from K.M.P.M.inter college (Jamshedpur).Then she went for Graduation from Women’s college from B.Com. (2009) (Jamshedpur) .She completed her master’s from Women’s college (2012) Jamshedpur. She went for her B.ed from Women’s college (Jamshedpur). She has the knowledge of Tally 9.0 She has selected teacher as a career, according to her teacher’s job is one of the respectable duty where you can share the knowledge which you gained from one of the teacher just like you. As teaching is the only profession where you can work for the society and can give your contribution towards the society and the country with the help of education.
Being a teacher or a part of education system, you might get the power to change the mind set of the society and encourage them to grow and get success in their life with proper education. As to be civilised a person should be educated.
